SEACA holds Burma/Myanmar Country Processes on ASEAN

SEACA is pleased to announce the start of the fourth round country workshops ASEAN among civil society groups in the region.
Recently, three country workshops on ASEAN were held among civil society and media groups from inside and outside Burma. This is the fourth round of country workshops continues with the main objective of sensitizing local civil society groups about the developments within ASEAN and soliciting their input on various civil society interventions in processes such as the ASEAN Charter and the human rights body.
The Myanmar country workshop of civil society and media practitioners was held on 31 August to September 1 in Bangkok, in cooperation with the Vahu Development Institute, based in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Two workshops among civil society groups along the Thai-Burma border were held in cooperation with SAPA Task Force on ASEAN, Altsean Burma and the Burma Partnership, in Chiang Mai and Maesot, Thailand on 4 and 6 September, respectively.
SEACA wishes to thank its partners who made this workshop possible.
